In 2023, trubel&co was selected as one of NewSchools Racial Equity Venture Fund awardees, receiving support to champion racial equity in technical education in the pursuit of liberation.

trubel&co’s flagship program, Mapping Justice, has been offered through MIT’s MITES Summer since 2020. trubel&co is excited to continue partnering with MIT to expand access to tech-justice programs.

From 2022-2023, trubel&co's co-founder and executive director Nick Okafor joined Camelback Ventures fellowship, who provided essential support for the scaling of trubel&co’s offerings in our inaugural year.

Our geospatial programs are made possible through the extensive in-kind contributions from Esri, the leading GIS mapping software provider.

trubel&co is proud to partner with AAG, from presenting at the AAG annual conference in 2023 on GIS-driven tech-justice, to producing AAG-supported programming.

We have engaged the NAACP's ACT-SO high school program in trubel&co’s customized Race, Power & Technology workshop series since 2022.

In 2022, trubel&co was accepted into 4.0 Schools’ Tiny Fellowship! The Tiny Fellowship enables leading education innovators in a four month program that takes entrepreneurs from an idea with early traction to a proof point that is ready to grow and accelerate impact in the field. See more here.

trubel&co is thrilled to be partnering with Earth Hacks, an environmental justice hackathon organization, to develop new hackathon programs in 2024 that leverage GIS to further environmental justice at local scales across the US.
